The Slimey Snail Project

Oh my neice is so sweet!

My BIL, Jonah, emailed me a picture and asked me to pp to my liking then to email it back with the steps and why I felt I needed to pp the way I did, like a feeling…  So I did.  He also sent it to his friend Wendy.  I then sent it to Stef, Catie and posted on my board, of which Kelly, Mark and Jodi also participated.  How cool to get all these results back!  Check em out!

Supermom

Today, I was Supermom.  I made my little man’s day a bit brighter.  My mum is here visiting and helping Craig and I with the kids.  Yesterday, she was Super-Grandma when she called me to see if she could buy the boys some skateboards.  They have been BEGGING nearly every day for these things!  Craig and I have been a bit apprehensive about letting them have skateboards because they are prone to be in the emergency room every year- and neither of them have really gotten the hang of looking for cars.  Anyway, I agreed.

This morning the boys were out skating around and Hunter’s board accidently zoomed down the storm drain!  He was SO upset.  Mum said he bawled and bawled and bawled… naturally!  Poor thing.  So on my way home I stopped at the spot where I thought he lost it, peeked down and there it was.  Amazing!  Because the rain had been coming down pretty hard.

I park the truck and grab my kid, a hockey stick, and a looooong paint roller.  I hadn’t decided how exactly I was going to get the board out, but knew I had to try.  Hunter and I take off down the street, myself still in my office attire and heels, strutting these instruments of rescue, head held high in confidence that I will rescue my little guy’s precious skateboard!

Sure enough.. I was able to hook the wheels with the paint roller and pull the board to safety!  OH HAPPY DAY!  Just in the knick of time too!  Shortly after we took these pictures, there was a tornado warning and it looked like Hurricane Katrina out!  The road was completely filled with water, and I am sure that the skateboard would have been carried down the sewer.

And that is why I am Supermom today.  It’s nice being thought of as the “Amazing mom who can do anything.”

Here are the kids doing some pretty cool tricks!  It would make their Uncle Jonah SO proud!  Maybe they would come visit again soon!  Hint Hint!

Birth Photography

Here is a lovely example of a typical labor and delivery session.  When I first describe what one of these amazing sessions is all about, most people’s initial thoughts are… “wow, that’s a little TOO much”…

Giving birth and bringing this amazing gift that you have carried inside you for 9 months is such an amazing experience.  It’s not something to be forgotten.

The images below are from Natalie’s birth.  Craig took the pictures that I sooo wanted- and got.  He did a FABULOUS job, and I am ever so grateful to have these images of my daughter’s first breath… her first cry… her first glance and the feeling of love.  I wish I had done this with my boys.

Loving This…

How cute is this? This is Natalie’s beautiful room. Craig and my mother-in-law bought this GORGEOUS antique dresser last week. I want to make it black… but my mom doesn’t think I’ll be able too because of the surface.
