Mommy & Me

When I was young, and we would travel to Price Utah to visit my grandparents, it seemed like that was the only place my sister and I could pull out old photo albums and see pictures of us with our mom while we were little. Not that much has changed, my sister and I both live over 8 hours from my mother now and it’s still hard to get together for the opportunity of a few camera clicks. Maybe in May, right Sara *hint, hint. elbow, elbow*

Let’s face it… reality that is… Moms just don’t really like getting their picture taken… I know many of them… my best friend is one… Usually when the opportunity would arise she wasn’t feeling the photo opportunity with her kids. As much as I pushed her, she would refuse, and hence I love her so, but I still wish I had a new, updated picture on my fridge of my girl and her children before they moved.

However, BFF of mine… When you children grow older and they pull out those old photo albums like my sister and I did, will they wonder where you are? Possibly, and most likely in more cases then not, were you the one behind the camera… and with those thoughts, the table has turned and the shoes are on someone else’s feet, your kids! It’s not about you anymore… MOM’S OUT THERE, it’s about your children! AH HA! So very sneaky I am, aren’t I?

So here’s your opportunity… go get your hair did, your nails done, don’t wait to loose a few pounds. Honestly, your kids won’t care! But they will not stop growing. They will only be this age THIS YEAR, and then next year is a whole new year! Don’t miss this year, another year, another month, and another day.

May 11th is our day. Our one day to celebrate the beauty that we have created and molded. The one thing that all women who have birthed and survived the pains of labor, the tears of happiness and our moments of proud, that more then gals have in common… is our children.

Celebrate your motherhood!

We will be scheduling sessions for moms and their children (of all ages) thru the month of April. All sessions must be scheduled by April 10th and be completed by April 27th. This special is only available for the mother and her child/ren, sorry dads but your turn is coming.

The details:

  • $150 pre-paid session retainer (paid when you book)
  • Session is to be on location at either a location of your choice or the outdoor studio.
  • Sessions are 30-40 minutes long
  • Up to 20 images will be shown
  • Included in the package is a framed (level 1) 11×14 gift portrait of your choice

So get to it ladies! Give yourself and your children the gift of a memory this year.

ps- Dads… this would be a GREAT Mother’s Day present…. no pressure

1st Sessions of the New Year

The first sessions of the New Year were so sweet. These little babies come in and just melt my heart. Currently as some of you may know, I am pregnant with our third (and final!) child. While shooting the sessions I couldn’t help but imagine how many new images I’ll have with our new little one when she or he (hopefully SHE!) comes, and that alone makes me push myself to deliver some of the best service, images, and products that I’m capable of.

Our first session of the new year is of Jasmynn, tiny and only ten days old, she was just the sweetest thing. I had such a hard time choosing my favorite images from this session, and really do love them all.

The second session was on the 1st, at the University of Colorado Hospital. I was convinced that I would have to turn most the images black and white because of the low light in the room, but was amazed at how well the images did come out. Little Jamie (spelling unknown) was so teeny tiny! She was only 4 lbs, but perfectly healthy other then the start of a little Jaundice. She was on the lights for our entire session dozing in and out of sleep. Her brother, who hadn’t been named yet as of the 1st, was 5 lbs and also healthy, was being fed and cuddled by his amazingly beautiful mother.

Well that’s all I have for now. I hope everyone is enjoying their New Year, and all the new fun stuff, colors, and such that we are spilling out for you! Stay tuned and on top for new specials for the upcoming months!!

-xoxo
